Ok, just a few piccies here, Dave and I trying to do one of those really annoying shots, and Meg's bub Master Freddie Sainsbury on the top. I am mighty proud of this image, it's one of my own.

So many stories.....

It was recently bought to my attention that my blog was extrememly out of date....mmmm. Actually I was pulled into line by a cross Luxembourgish Pilot who was unable to track my moves.

So I will now endevour to update the last twelve months worth of my life for those who are actually interested.

Since I last blogged, I have changed jobs, moved out of and then back into home. Managed to find myself a very nice boy and well, I guess just plod along with the daily routines of life. Not much else has happened apart from many friends becoming pregnant and engaged and then of course the usual later stages of actually getting married and popping out the kiddies.

I have attached a couple of photos from my 30th and the lovely boy!

It's been a while.

So, its been a couple of months at least since I published a blog, I can't believe the last was in October! Since then, I have changed jobs, now working in recruitment for a large nursing agency, where I can still use my nursing skills and I get to work mon-fri with normal hours. I have finally started to have a normal working week with regular social events like dinners, parties and french classes, and more recently Hockey!. I realised close to xmas last year that I had forgotten most of my french and that I needed a refresher. So I started weekly classes again with Alliance Francais, all of which have since finished and of course now vanished from my pea sized brain. I also decided to get back into my favourite sport....Hockey which has proven very difficult after a whopping 11years since I played.

Since Oct, my birthday has passed, a friends wedding, xmas and all of summer, most of which I spent working of course. Its now been 8 months since I returned from Europe and its only been the last two which I have started feeling better about being back. Change of Job, Living with my parents again and also being back in Melbourne have all meant that its taken a while to settle back into Australian life.

I am still running and managed to complete the Run for the Kids charity race last weekend which was a mammoth 14km run, which I was very proud to say that I ran the whole way and finished in 1 hour 19 mins. To reward myself, I went and bought brand new running clothes and now I actually look the part too.

Well, now that I am back on the blog, I will add a couple of photos from the last couple of months.
Hope you enjoy.

Mt Hotham

With recent birthday dinners for two friends, it was a weekend in Hotham that I had been looking forward to since arriving home. Having just bought a car and starting work back at Royal childrens Hospital. The first weekend of September saw a large group of friends and I take to the sloaps. With a moderate amount of snow, the first afternon, I spent most of my time polishing off my snow plows and turns. With a big dinner and lots of wine, a cosy fire place and a good sleep, we hit the sloapes the next day a little harder. By the time we stopped for lunch my legs were like jelly and I perfected the art of falling over and crashing into my ski school group in the afternoon. I think that they all thought I was a bit of a spaz, but my legs were barely holding me. Giving up that afternoon, we spent the sunday at the Millowa cheese factory half way back to Melbourne eating a fabulous lunch and relaxing in the winter sunshine. My mums 1970's ski clothes were a hit with my friends and I now have a nick name apple.

Arriving back in Melbourne

It's a very unsettling feeling arriving back in the country you left five years ago. Having planned to come home for good, it was unpacking my bags and sitting in my old room at my parents place that made me think, well now what. Where do you start building your life back again after being away so long. After spending the first night with my family having dinner. There were drinks with friends in Richmond, many of whom had shared some of my european memories over the last couple of years in London.
So now, here goes, starting anew.

A Weekend in Paris

After a couple of meetings in Nice with a French guy Simon, we made casual plans to catch up in London for a weekend. The weekend's location changed to Paris, and after leaving Sicily and having my last night out in London with my friends, I jumped on the Eurostar to meet Simon. Having not spent that much time with him in Nice, I was apprehensive about how well the weekend was going to go, and was also convinced he wasn't going to turn up. After arriving on the platform to find no one waiting for me, my fear became reality for about five minutes before he came strolling in the station.....Thank god.

Now I don't think I need to tell you that it was an amazing weekend. Sat was spent strolling through the Bastille area into the heart of Paris. After a lazy lunch in a French Restaurant, and then a couple of hours lying in the Jardin de Luxembourg we headed down to the Seine for a music festival and to catch up with his cousin. Catching glimpses of the Tour de Eiffel as I crossed the bridges with my own personal sexy french guide, I couldn't help but pinch myself.
Sunday was spent exploring the Jewish Quarter, another long lunch and then quick snooze in another park and all of a sudden it was time to go. With my flight to Melb the next day, I had to head back on Sun night so we headed to the eurostar where we said our final goodbyes. A weekend I will never forget.
